Debbie’s love for hair began at a young age, watching her mother style hair for neighborhood ladies right in their kitchen. Those early moments planted the seeds for a lifelong passion rooted in beauty, connection, and care for others.

With a background in cosmetology, Debbie grew up immersed in the world of hair. In 1994, her mother opened a wig boutique in Clio, Michigan, where Debbie spent years working alongside her, learning not just the art of wigs and styling, but the importance of empathy and discretion for women experiencing hair loss.

Later, after moving to Zeeland, Debbie searched for a local wig shop and was surprised to find very limited options—only a handful of wigs and no private space to try them on. Clients were expected to choose and try wigs out in the open. That experience made one thing clear to her: women facing hair loss deserved so much more.

Driven by compassion and a deep understanding of her clients’ journeys, Debbie founded Hidden Secrets Wigs to create a beautiful, private, and welcoming space with a wide selection of high-quality wigs, toppers and other hairloss accessories.
